Main Highlights
Here are the highlights of Luang Prabang not to be missed, the main emblematic things to visit in the city and its surroundings. Most of the most remarkable sites are concentrated in a rather small area. Some others will require land or river transport (some villages have no land access).
Apart from few weeks during the rainy season, the city can be visited on foot, by bike, in touktouk as well as by electric vehicle or air-conditioned minivan (recommended during the rainy season and the warmest months).
